WHAT IS The Athlete Body?

Our Functional Bodybuilding program is designed to help you build muscle and keep you moving well!

Feel the burn through the body-part split structured weight training and finish off some high rep movements in the daily conditioning/cardio set. Five training sessions per week with two rest days for needed recovery.

What can I expect from this program? How exactly does this stay functional?

Firstly, it’s designed for a functional gym environment. All the exercises are free weight movements, no machines! Dumbbells, barbells, rig work and banded exercises. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Secondly, the daily conditioning includes all your usual CrossFit movements from burpees to dumbbell snatches, to cardio kit to kipping rig work (and scaled options too).

Away from the extremes of bodybuilding, but not deep into the extreme gymnastic skills of CrossFit…

This program gets you cranking up the gains and metabolism,

Unlike other Hypertrophy (muscle building) programs which tend to repeat week on week on week, we have much more variety in our sessions.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 = forces 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗰l𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝘁i𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘂𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. ⠀⠀⠀⠀

 – This constant variety is 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙙,  to cause muscle adaptation

 – The body part split is structured to aid recovery between sessions alongside adequate rest days.

 – The periodisation of the program is structured to taper up and down also to aid recovery.
