Zack’s sporting background started when he was very young representing his county in several sports before settling into playing rugby at a semi professional level.

He then worked as a fitness instructor whilst running his own personal training business for 6 years before finding CrossFit back in 2014 and that’s when he decided he wanted CrossFit to become his next venture and sport.

Many years later Zack is now the proud owner of CrossFit BFG which is a thriving CrossFit affiliate in Lancashire, he has also achieved one of his main goals in CrossFit already which was to qualify for Regionals as an individual last year placing 17th in the CrossFit Europe open.

“Helping people reach their own goals gives me massive satisfaction”

How much do you think character and mindset contributes to winning?
“Mindset has a lot to do with winning, having a strong mindset and character allows you to put the hours of hard work in everyday in which it takes to become a good enough athlete to win competitions”

What is the first thing you do when you get to the gym to start your training session?
“Have a laugh with friends before my 20 minute warm up routine starts”

What is your favourite quote or mantra to live by?
“Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you will be amongst the stars”
