Back ground:

Up until nearly 21 Mitch played a low level standard of rugby and was just a normal gym goer, the chest and biceps kind of guy. After taking up CrossFit to aid his rugby ability and physicality he quickly developed a talent. He entered the 103 London throwdown qualifying 148th from an available 150 spaces. This flicked a switch and Mitch then impressively qualified for the CrossFit Games Regionals in 2014 as an individual, not before he set up his affiliate CrossFit Wolverhampton that is now approaching its 6th year birthday. Mitch went on to qualify as an individual for 5 consecutive years at the Regionals level. An experienced high level competitior, he has learnt so much along the way to enable himself to continue progressing as an athlete himself, still a CrossFit games hopeful as he pushes now for the 2020 season he is here to offer his services, knowledge and expertise to write personalised competitive programs.

How much do you think Character and mindset contributes to winning?

Mindset is a massive element of being successful in anything, especially competitive environments. You need to know what it takes to win, but more importantly execute all necessary steps to achieve the desired outcome. This can only be done through positive attitude, embracing failures and setbacks, utilising extrinsic sources of motivation as well as keeping the instruction motivation inside alive!
